New Launch: Collectives on Mobile

One of the biggest challenges for DAO participation is that existing DAO platforms require you to be on desktop to cast votes or make proposals. This hampers community involvement and prevents wide-spread adoption of DAOs.

We’re elated to share Upstream Collectives are now on mobile. You can vote on your DAO's proposals from anywhere in the world.

To experience Upstream Collectives on mobile, download the app. Once you connect your wallet through MetaMask or Rainbow, you can request to join Collectives or spend time in Collectives that you have already joined.

You can access any Collective you are in from the Collective Dashboard on the bottom of the screen.

On mobile, you can see all of the Collective Settings. You’re able to view the Wallet and Vaults, as well as contribute and take out ETH. You can create and view proposals and delegate voting power from the mobile experience.

The most important thing that is possible from the mobile experience is voting. With mobile voting, members of your DAO now have the ability to vote anywhere they are.

The only issue we’ve come across is that the Metamask mobile experience can be unreliable at times. You may need to try signing in multiple times for it to go through. There is little we can do to make that better, but believe that trying a few times on mobile (in the worst case) is better than not having mobile voting.
