We’re excited to share that our Upstream Admin of the Year is Jing Herman who founded the Future of Work Community.

Over the past year, Jing has gone above and beyond. She has hosted 56 events and grown the community to 1400+ members. Jing is generous with her insights and shares community tips with fellow admins.

The Future of Work Community is a vibrant place for founders, VCs, and those passionate about reimagining work, workspaces, and workplaces. The community’s weekly events every Wednesday feature founders, VCs predicting the future of work trends, and member-hosted fireside chats about current challenges and solutions. The community will be kicking off in-person events in NYC in late February.

Jing Wang Herman is the Head of the Future of Work Community on Upstream and Co-Founder of 28muses, a-culture-as-a-service company that builds connection and culture for remote teams.  Previously, Jing was the CEO of Gett, a ridesharing company, and helped grow the company from Series A to a unicorn. Prior to Gett, Jing was an investment banker and corporate strategist at Bear Stearns/JPMorgan where she was named Forbes 30 Under 30 in Finance.

Jing and her team at 28Muses are weaving creativity and authentic connections into today’s workplace. 28Muses brings art to the workplace to build connection, elevate culture, and help teams play better through these 4 tracks:

  1. Creativity & wonder - Pinhole Photography, Postcard Art, Storytelling
  2. Empathy & communication  -  It Factor, Visual Music, Movement
  3. Critical thinking & problem solving - LEGO, Stop Motion Animation, Chess
  4. Balance & mindfulness - Suminagashi, Haiku, Mindful Listening Sound Bath
